Papa Norman died of alcohol poisoning, just hours after announcing his intention to die.  Dad had been suffering from serious health problems for years, and he was afraid of dying involuntarily.  In his religion, a person who dies of natural causes cannot achieve a privileged place in the afterlife.  I wish he had chosen to seek the light of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and not resorted to such twisted pagan superstitions.  I prayed for him, and he made his choice.  There is nothing I can do about it now.  It still pains me nonetheless.  My father was a true friend, and the biggest blessing that God has ever given me.

Gerard bought me plane tickets to Paris.  Thank god I have my passport.  I will be leaving tomorrow to give my father a traditional funerary ceremony.  After the paganisms, Gerard is having him cremated and shipped back to Chukotka.  My little girl is coming over as well.

I’ll never get to share a toke, or play Kelet chase with him again.  My heart is broken.  I can’t stop bawling.
